All training will take place in the North Side computer lab, unless noted otherwise. Please email me if you need training on something other than that which is listed. I am happy to arrange a time to meet with and help anyone with technology related questions or will add a topic to the training schedule if there is interest.
I ask that you please consider sharing the resources that you create in our trainings by allowing me to post them on the CD District technology site. Each of us works hard in our profession...sharing ideas and resources is one way to assure materials are relevant for a particular grade, skill, or subject area as well as a way to cut down on individual planning time. Resources may be added to the district site anonymously or with a citation as to the name, grade, and school of the creator.

Audience: Grades K-5 teachers and/or paras
Description: Come learn a new Web 2.0 tool in less than an hour. You'll leave with a new tool that can be used in a variety of contexts to help you differentiate instruction in a brand new way! Materials: Bring a text, materials, or ideas for a skill, or concept that you would like to enhance. Ideally, 8-10 questions that can be used for a preview, review, or activating activity will be perfect and assure that you have a finished product when you leave! Questions should be multiple choice or true and false in nature for this activity.
Topic:Creating a Template for Lesson Planning Using Microsoft Word Date: Tuesday September 16 Time: 7:45 am - 8:30 am Description: Come learn how to create a master template that can be used over and over again as you plan for weekly learning experiences. Materials: Think about what you would like your template to look like...a copy of your class schedule will be beneficial. I'll have some examples for you to check out as well.
Topic:Creating (or Updating) Your Schoolwires Web Site Date: Friday September 26 Time: 7:45 am - 8:30 am Description:We all are required to keep our websites current. My motto is KISS (Keep it Simple, Silly - Stupid seems a bit harsh here ;) I'll have information on what the District guidelines are along with some ideas for making it easier to change/ modify information throughout the year. Materials:Please come with some ideas for what you want to include on the site so that you can leave the training with a finished product.
